Although we require all buyers to have auto insurance to purchase a car, when they are still in the shopping phase, if they don't have coverage, we leave it up to you as the seller to determine whether you want to allow them to test drive your vehicle.

In most instances, your car insurance will cover test drives with an uninsured driver. You can check with your insurance carrier to see whether you're covered for "permissive use". If you are, as long as you approve your prospective buyer to drive your car, your insurance will cover the test drive. You may choose to provide this coverage to your prospective buyer or not.

We also require all prospective buyers to have a valid driver's license.
